Annual Report 2005The emphasis of the Evangelism Committee this past year has been on reaching out. The focus was to reach into the hearts and homes of our members and beyond. Our committee is small but loyal. I thank them for their commitment this past year. One project that we undertook was to create a web site for Gloria Dei. This will bring information regarding all activity within our congregation into the homes of our members and anyone who might be searching for a church home. Although some members don’t have access to the computer and will continue to receive their info via US mail, this project will enable us in the near future, to free up funds and manpower to be used elsewhere in the Lords work. Evangelism continues to work with the Audio/Visual to bring the worship services to our shut-in and many others in our community. We are always looking for volunteers to help with this great ministry. This past summer, we invited an Evangelism Consultant to visit our congregation to do a Hospitality Survey, which is sponsored through the La Crosse Area Synod. We are now, with other committees on the Council, looking at ways in which we can make some improvements, always striving to make our congregation a most welcome place for all. |
